People who know me know about my family, but those who don’t know me and follow my blog, have no idea.
My husband and I have just celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary and we have 2 gorgeous children. We have a daughter who will be 5 in a month and a son who just made 3.
Our daughter is perfectly healthy and a little spitfire. But she’s our little princess.
Our son is perfect, but has a very special heart. He has had 3 open heart surgeries and several other surgeries and hospital stays in his short little life, with more on the (hopefully far off) horizon. The blessing is that he’s also very healthy and has no idea for the most part that he’s sick.
Our family, friends, faith, and even strangers have brought us through so much and we are a very blessed and appreciative family.
If you’d like to follow our journey, my son has a CaringBridge page.
And if you ever encounter a friend, family member, stranger, or even yourself who is facing this scary world of CHD’s (Congenital Heart Defects), please send them over to the page.
1 in 100 babies is born with a CHD.
We had so much help and support when we were first thrown into the CHD World, I’d love to share with someone else. ❤
